Scotty left Louisiana in 1979, to attend a three-year textile apprenticeship program at the Mendocino Art Center. Under the tutelage of Lolli Jacobsen and Elaine Lackey, she explored various weave structures.
While Scotty weaves the standard repertoire of rugs, scarves and blankets, her primary interest is weaving together your experience with Four Sisters and connecting you with the community, and history of the area.
